It lives................. Finally took it down off the axle stands today after giving the underside a good going over with Maguires spray wax. Took the exhaust off again as the fit wasn't best and it decided to blow. Painted it in VHT paint, cut some slats into the joins and used some High Tensile bolts to tighten it up with. Now declared solid and blow free.
Couldn't resist a run around the block. Car drives with no rattles, knocks or squeaks of any kind. Tracking needs sorting as it tram-lines.
Next is a damn good clean, Tax it, Sort out a washer bottle that I can fit somewhere into the engine bay and then get some miles on it before it goes for set up on April 16th. Then the Drive it day (weather permitting) on April 25th.
Some proper steel brake pipes now fitted. Many thanks to Sharks for the pipe.
