  • A Twink called BEV

I think I have sussed how to get photos on here, with top tips by Andyc!

I don't have any rusty metal/ shell knackered type pics (it wasn't bad anyway), there is one primer shot in the BEV781G thread, but I have it back from the painters and will SLOWLY add pics as the build gets on

Hia Tim, At the mo, my game plan is to get it looking period, but eligable for the post historics. As you know, all of the safety related gear will have to be new, but that's not to say that I won't be able to keep a period 'feel' about it. I would say it will defo be done for the national day........2011. I am on with a few different projects, one being my other Escort which seems to have 'aged' dramatically this last season. Come summer it will need a makeover, or else a complete resto the year after

I'm gonna be fitting the cage this week, and have just been painting where the door bar brackets etc have been welded on. It's a SD 6 point bolt in one.
A couple of pics to remind myself how tidy the paint is/was before I fit the cage. I don't think it will be as good by the end of this week.
Never mind, worse things happen at sea.

Got the cage in with not too many scratches, will be posting pics soon. I was on a roll and started to reassemble the drivers door locks / window etc, had it half done but lost the screws! Whilst looking for them heard an almighty bang, the sliding glass had dropped into the bottom of the door, from almost the top, and dented it outwards, it was a new doorskin too.
                      How I chuckled to myself.

OK. Cage in, Motor and box to sort out now, clutch bits arrived from Burtons, still missing the pivot bit, none of the ones I've got are correct.
A mate of mine is going to make a bit that will fit. If I knew the origins of the bell housing and clutch fork, no doubt a production pivot would fit, I just don't know what car it would be off
One day I will get the hang of photobucket, and get my photos the right size
