Originally posted by RUDDY View PostKeep up lads, someone kicked off on an old thread again, Martins car was finished a while ago and is superb, he was just crap at keeping his thread going..........
Fuel Lines from the Tank Well
Fuel Pump and Filter mounted behind 60ltr Tank
Custom Made Steel Fuel lines that are mounted on the offside with the brake lines running in between them. These have been made to utilise the existing holes that the brake line clips use. Once finished they were painted black
BDA Style Cam Cover before it was painted
Wiring loom and ECU wiring
Engine trial fit
Fuel Rails were close to the Bulkhead so we asked Jenvey to make us a modified fuel rail with the in and out moved from the ends to in between 1 & 2 and 3 & 4
To protect the loom from the exhaust I sourced some Kevlar (3000 degree resistant) shielding to go round the wiring loom
Custom Made 2 1/2" Stainles Steel Exhaust Manifold and System
The Custom Made Catch Tanks. This was made due to a lack of space due to the exhaust and the throttle bodies. One is for the Washer Bottle with an external washer pump mounted behind the nosecone, the middle one is an oil Catch Tank with drain plug at the bottom and a baffle fitted and the 3rd one is the radiator expansion tank.
Painted and fitted
Collection day
And afterwards
Massive thanks must go to Neil Arnold (Deepest Blue) as without his time and patience the final results would not have been what they are.
What started out as a light 'freshen up' to make the car a second toy ended up as a total restoration with a fuel injected Zetec conversion and a fully detailed underside and engine bay
THE ENDCheers
