My Mk2 Van

Been meaning to do this for a while now but never seemed to get around to it.
I bought the van last year from Darran @ Escort -Tec with a view to restoring it to be my every day vehicle when my lease car is returned at the end of 2008. I'll get it sign written up as well with our company logo on.
Here's a couple of pics of what it looked like when I got it




It was fairly clean with good inner wings and front end. It does have rotten floors and sills and rear arches though.

So we stripped it out and last weekend I got a mate to shot blast it with "media specific" shot so it would'nt damage the panels. I also made a spit for it to make it easier to work on

cracking idea for a works van,will turn lots of heads,if the van turns out half as good as the jig you will be laughing,all the best.

This is the inspiration for how it will look when finished, although the colour will be silver (of some shade or other as I havent mad my mind up yet )

This is the engine Ive got lined up for it, its a 2litre zetec on 45's which came out of a mk1 escort with all the goodies so I can drop it straight in on a world cup x member


I managed to get 2 of these for £200, and there brand new
