            lol nice one Gra,
Well the car project is currently on hold, after collecting some very nice parts, I want more, and as I want good parts and do it once/do it right, the "credit crisis" is severely limiting my non essential spendies at the mo
This of course curbs the enthusiasm and, I cant be bothered
So the cars not eating or drinking while we wait for more prosperous times

@ the date of the last post on this thread!

Well done a bit more, grinded the front arches, stonechipped then colour.
Waxoyled everything I could think of (chassis etc) 2 litres of it.

Stripped the back axle, (halfshafts were a nightmare!) All rubbed down inc one piece prop. Going to rebuild it in work ( in spare time) 4.1 lsd, rear brake conversion. No pics yet

What I am please with is, when we were quiet in work, the Mrs and me had a go at recovering my seats. (Thanks to Aled for OJX reference pics) We used black leather instead of the black vinyl with beta cloth.

Other seat is done now, just got to clean the overspray off the plastics, and paint the subframes/runners black, so thats another box ticked.
Ps the white lines you see in the stitching is tailors chalk, (come off easy) and I just noticed the headrest isnt in straight lol.

Must remember to take pics with my proper camera instead of this phone one.

I dont mind doing the rubbing down and spraying, not a lot can go wrong lol. But Im on to the technical now, and trying to wing it best I can by myself, it does give you more confidence tackling things.
Axle is on, I think its right, advice welcome if its not

                                Bit of an update.

Bought RBTM for my struts, so had to enlarge my inner wing. Was debating on just turning around 90 degrees and mounting "back to front" so to speak, but decided against it, as there must be a reason that no one does that
Anyway, enlarged the holes, welded up the old and drilled out the new.
Thanks to my mate who lives opposite me as I havent got a welder. ( Also thanks to GJ who offered, but it was hard enough carrying the welder across the road, never mind lumping it down from Merthyr!)
So before spraying up, I also tackled a bit of rust starting just in front where the bonnet release cable comes out. Nothing a grinding and some Karust and a bit of filler couldnt take care of, so blew the spray into that area too.

After, will mop it all in when I do the whole car, toward the end

I got myself a dual system remote servo, so I cut away my old servo tower, and utilised the mounting bracket to mount it, turned out alright too, fits nice, just got to make up a small side bracket to stop it moving from side to side

RBTM on struts , ready to fit

Also been down PLR, and lightened my wallet. Top bloke always ready for a natter, good advice, and we got one thing in common, our love of German Shepherds, my boy met his 12 year old girl
Looking forward to start fitting this lot
