really good job u r doing there done pretty much the same to my mex ! managed to get a spare shell with good roof & rear window bottom corners & front scuttle for £ 30 !

Doors !

got stuck into the drivers door today ! striped it right back and its sound !! no filler etc . Very happy with the bottom of the door also ! no holes and just a bit of surface rust . At least somethings gone right

cut outs !!!!!!!!!!!!

couldnt work out why the bonnet has all the cut outs round the edge ? till the penny dropped !! its so they could get in with the spot welder ! to join the top to the bottom ! but didnt they realise this would trap rain water coming through the engine bay ? bad design

bonnet

the bonnet was a bastard ! got to say it and its done my head right in ! all the cut outs round the edge had surface rust on the inside and it was so hard getting into all the nooks ! it rates as one of the worst jobs ive done on the car so far ! it would have broken a weaker man

spent thirteen hours !!!!!!!!!! sanding the underneath of this bonnet but its done ! also got a start on the doors . thanks for looking john .

plenty of elbow grease there john, all the hard work will be worth it mate

i would like to say yes ! but just dont know martin ! i still need to mint inner rear cards , seats recovering , engine taken out ! bay stripping lol !! ive just realised how much is left ! no mate i wont be there
