Hi just thought I would show you some photos of my mexico rebuild that I purchased from Ders last year (ASG 128S) the shell is in very poor condition and is beyond economical repair so I plan to reshell it. I was lucky to buy a shell from a rally chap who hung up is gloves and helmet and retired.
I purchased this shell some years ago and have had it in storeage I recently got it home and cleaned it down. It will need some minor metal work and repainted but otherwise is in very good condition.
I think this has been a Ford heavy duty shell and as far as I can tell it has never been on the road, it has never been welded and comes with all the normal RS strenghtening although I'm not so sure about the tramp bars.
Anyone know what spec of Fords heavy duty shell was?
(ps the suspension in the pictures is from a 13l and for rolling purposes only)
My plans will start by preparing the shell for paint this will be a very long rebuild due to lack of money, but I will set a goal for lakes 2009
