RS2K Front panel.I feel so stupid.

Just come from the body panel shop.Is it correct the standard panel does not fit on the MK2 RS2000?
Asking this as I removed one of my front wings to replace sills and rather than chop the Ford wings with the labels still intact I chopped the front panel up.
Am I dumb as I just wanted to save the wings and not a repro front panel.Don't tell me this panel is hard to find!!!

i used a std front panel as i think they all the same!

std panel, you may sleep easy, I would have gone the same route as you, sacrificing a patent front panel to keep your wings nice

me too too so far 3 std panels put on RS's just to save the outer wings no real difference

I went that route, hack the cheap front panel and save the wings.

The last owner welded genuine Ford wings (still have the Ford labels attached) onto the car when the sills need replacing.
