Hi Mate. Got alot on over the next few months. Not that much to do, Its just the cost of the parts still out standing that i need.

                            • Hi Lads, Its been about 4 months since i have done anything on the car...I have started a new job, so i have not had any time and problems with the wife saying i send more money and time on the car, than on her When i said she does not give me any grief.. did not go down well

Any looked at the car to day and i need to repaint drivers side and bonnet..its come up with lots of small like blister.... think i sprayed when it was to cold....got some new paint to do the door months ago and its to dark....so very feed up now...so dont know wont to do Try and repaint with the bit i have left or repaint all the car, or the best one close the door and leave it.... Think i started this about 4 years ago.. so close to finish and then so far away....

Could do with restarting again due to the standard of all the resto's on here
                              Andy

                              • Andy, don't give up so close to finishing: The micro blisters could be 'solvent pop' where the solvent comes up the surface and pops the top coat leaving half a bubble behind. It can be caused by too many coats too soon or just to thick of a coat. I don't know what paint you're using and like you I haven't done any painting for year as I'm only used to cellulose myself, so if it's something else you're using, I'll shut up. You'll probably have to flat it down back to the primer though as painting over them will just make it worse.

Hope you get it sorted though.
