Thanks Aaron. The window rubbers were all replaced about 14 years ago when it was first restored, and are still mint, so i've reused them. Plus i've not heard any good reports of any of the repro one's currently available.

Re-painted the floors, boot and doors, did'nt bother with the rear quarters as they were fine.

Ordered the decals from PJG today Kev.

The weather looks pretty good at the mo! Get the Mex along to the Notts meet tonight, been a definite shortage of MK II's there lately.

Dunno about Monday yet Neil. PJG yes, Front arch stripes need cutting to fit properly otherwise good. Nice looking runabout for you (Little bit jealous what with the MK5 GTi as well)

It's actually not too bad, the rides pretty firm with those big wheels on it, and the front anti-roll bars as thick as my arm!! But your right, it's built more for cruising than hustling!!

Hang on a minite, I've hijacked my own thread here!!!

Lee, it's a Saleen 281 Coupe, based on a GT, but with different bumpers, skirts, rear spoiler, uprated suspension, exhaust, 20" wheels and different seats. It's only the baby 325bhp model though, they do an "S" which is 500 break! Not the easiest thing to drive in this country as its LHD, manual and wider than a tranny van!
