Finally made my mind up after a lot of mental anguish and have decided to go for the origional engine, so, i will be hitting the bay with my redtop and all parts to go with it, i think that the deciding factor was that i couldn't face hacking away all the panels that i've just fitted.I am now on the look-out for some twin 40s and all that goes with them so any of you guys got some can you PM me please

plenty of reinforcement to go on front end. couldn't fit yet as was wanting to dry fit redtop and work it all around it. strut tops and also additional to go underside of strut tops to front chassis rails.

Went outside yesterday and some arsehole has nicked two of my alloys that i had outside the garage that were being stripped, great eh!!!!

thats a shame, thieveing gits everywhere, its not like the std alloys are rare either or expensive

luckily i bought 5 with tyres off e-bay last week for £56.01 so i have plenty of them, 10 to be exact lol!!

Have now decided to change plans and go for the x-pack, have ordered it from fibresports and hopefully sorted some alloys out, so more cutting and welding to do!!!! also sold the Vauxhall redtop , so sticking with the pinto but wouldn't mind trying a turbo on it if i can get one.

quick update

haven't added anything for a while, but to keep you up to date have converted struts to coilovers, reinforced strut tops, done rear brakes and hopefully tomorrow i should be getting my x-pack kit from fibresports then i can get in the garage and start to cut out the arches.Have started to inspect engine but i am going to strip it down and rebuild it as its been stood for 12 years.

Have managed to get plenty of time in the garage this week. Have got all front end on and have just cut back one of the rear arches and tacked skins together. haven't managed many pics as battery gone in camera and time is better spent on the car rather than going to shop for batteries. I will get some pics up later in the week
