Cheers folks, gona get stuck in again tomorrow and finish under the arch and inside the car.
Gona try get an early one tonight....
Then il dissapear into the workshop with some cans of Red Bull in the mornin...gives you some great welding wings while workin on the old mk2

Thought id give you guys a wee update!
All arch's done and rears tubbed and sealed...
Im awaiting some parts to be finished for my mk2 then when I collect them it will be all systems go again!
In between times iv been trying to juggle the balls at this end! lol
Been freshining up the Saph for Show season and Getting mum n dads mk2 ready for the Lakes
Hopefully get more pics up for you lads soon!

Im just waiting for the engine to be finished then need the car back from Fords ,next couple of weeks should see me make a start on rebuild mate

Hi Hally, no - no colour yet.....well except grey lol
Iv still to do a good bit of welding etc in the car and once thats done she will be away for paint
Im gona spray the inside of the car myself then give her to my mate who runs a spray business with his dad to do the outside.
Cana start the welding the now though coz im waiting on bits
All things going well will collect next week tho!

Shifty your car will be well worth the wait mate ps i betcha now "your roll" was the best thing to happen to your car [please dont take that the wrong way] i was gutted when my car broke down on the way home from kames last summer but in hindsight it was the best thing to happen to the car as it will come back a better car after all the new parts i have for her like yours also back BIGGER & BETTER catch you soon shifty davie

I feel exactley the same way - yeah I was gutted when it happened but now it gives me a good excuse to built her the way I want! lol
Gona be great to get her back on the road again and join you lads at the meets n shows again!

Right lads Im back!!! Ino some of you guys were following my rebuild so heres whats been happining........
As you know I havent been able to update you all on the progress on my mk2 as I have been saving up! and been waiting on some parts
Today was the big collection day tho!!!!
Here's what the hard saving and long wait has been for........




As you can see, iv treated my mk2 and myself to a Atlas Axle c/w 4.6 ZF lsd, cosworth discs and calipers with mintex compitition pads etc etc...
Also got some other bits n bobs to keep me busy!...including skid plates for linking, carbon mirrors, Full polycarb window kit c/w sliders etc
So its been a hectic week because before we went down to collect all this gear I had to fit a big diff tunnel ready for the Atlas axle
Heres some pics of the tunnel...

Will keep you's updated on the progress!
