Heres another wee update for you folks
Although not much has been done to the rs except all the 4-linking primed...
Today wee decided to get our finger oot on making Goldie that wee bit more special and fun!
Got her in the workshop removed old dodgy/leaking box, single prop and open 1.1 rear axle and diff (nightmare over 50mph!) and ovcourse no lsd...
Got AFX's rs box into her and will be getting her proper Burton prop as well as the lsd axle in tomorow!
No doubt you will see me entering a show sideways soon!

Seen TSO on the lakes tour and it looked very sweet.I thought you might have resisted the urge to tinker with her,but I suppose it would be rude not to

My son was chewing the ears off your ma and pa when they were getting it off the trailer, he thought it was the nicest mk2 on the tour

Im hopeing all things going well my rs will be on the road for April/May, id really like her ready for the start of April cause thats my birthday. She shud definetly be at teh lakes...prob her 1st outing

Hey lads!...aye lookin good now
Finally got my finger oot with my own car, been busy working on her for the past few days and nights ..thats the turrets now welded in (inside of car) still got underside to finish off.
Heres a pic of when they were tacked in place...
Next on the list is keep the car upright on the spit and weld in the fuel tank platform then turn on side and weld up rest of turrets from underneath.

Also had the Saph in the other night, ****in one of the brake caliper pistons ad siezed! ...washing and leaving aswell as lack of use me thinks! :roll: ...ah well good excuse to use her more often now! lol

I was out again tonight there after work doin a good bit more to the cage,,,,man my knees are ****in sore rolling about in the mk2 :evil: :lol:
Heres some recent pics of whats been happnin 8-)
Me welding skids onto link boxes..

Underneath, panhard rod, link box and previous damper hole welded shut

Started the cage..(you may also notice the turrets are finished and firewall in)

Finished the ''X'' tonight, still got a good few bars to put in tho



Going to treat the car to some more gear this Friday from down south...il get some pics up when im back with the luckies! :lol: 8-)
