  • RPE 368R Lakes Tour Makeover

I have been over today to have a look what was going on after hearing all the horror stories on here. I just wanted to make sure things were on track.

A door skin was fitted to this car in the late 80's, very badly. The door never sat right and let water in which when the car was washed settled around the frame and got under the rubber resulting in rust under the door rubber. I needed to get this sorted out the same time as replacing the door with a new genuine part.

Attention was also needed at the bottom of the wing so a small piece was welded in.

probably be only worth half as much now its been welded and painted, seeing as they are lagging behind anyway
