interior upgrade

have just finished my upgrade for the X - a few of you know what ive been up to, but for the others ...........

............... got some scheel seats and spent 3 months looking for the proper cloth which came from germany in the end (same stuff as bmw csl)

really pleased with the results on the fronts, have to find a scheel rear set now, but i think that will be impossible, so got the the standard rears to match for time being

wanted something a bit different from rolltops and fishnets, hope you like

well, 'kin shock horror, they are

apparently the 16i seats have a 1970's part number, so ive been told, and ive got a few rare pics of scheel seats from the 70's and the "modern skater seat" - basically i couldnt tell the difference in the shape at all, so on with the plan i went

the material isnt beta at all - it was used on scheel seats for bmw, ford capris etc in the 70's and worked out to be a lot cheaper per metre than the beta cloth used in mk2 roll tops and fishnets - you can see the "waffle" effect in pic below



also got the some help from the lads at moorlands which was great (thanks again) - got my inspiration from their stunning series X at natty day 2005



anyway, the seats will see me ok for another 20 years !!!!!!!!!!
