Neil, Running a Janspeed Manifold which has been heat treated and wrapped. WooDoo. The engine is a 2.1 standard RS block (Came with a 2 litre from new) Stage 2 head. Kent FR33 Cam, Burton Alloy Cover, Twin 40 Dellorto's. The blue pipework is the breather system I've devised. Running a Burton Block breather which runs up to the "T" Piece. Then connects with the take off from the Cam Cover whick in turn runs to an alloy catch tank on the O/S inner wing with a K&N Breather filter.
Ok, The car is cosmetically done. Just need to sort the oil leak and still crap running this week. Weather and reliability pending.........I should be at Cumbria
Did the rear crank seal today Had a bit of a nightmare though with seals. Bought a Payen seal first. Shredded itself on installation. Next up was a Victor Reins jobby. Did exactly the same. Bit the bullet and bought a genuine Ford one (At a price). With a little persuasion went in nicely. mental note to all............Buy a genuine Ford rear crank seal if you don't want headaches. Not had chance to run the car though but all should be ok. (Fingers crossed) Off for the tune up on thurs so should be 99% done by Cumbria
havn't completey read the thread but ive noticed your number plate differ to the ones that are on you mexico now
Am i missing something
Aha, Mr eagle eye AFG 151S is the plate which was on the car when I got it (Private plate as used to belong to one of the directors of AFG Rover some years ago) YUE 477S is the original reg for the car. Had YUE put back on the car a couple of years ago now and AFG put onto my Golf. So all is now correct.
