and there's not a drop of yellow paint on it.....

Like everything in life when you're on the customer you get ****ed about and when you're the one doing the work you get an earbending from the customer
It's always best to keep on top of the situation, otherwise you just get kept at bay until you start screaming

sounds about right... ...the thing is i'm building this car for someone else
as i have sold it to them.....so it's hard to do anyway without them holding me up...i have to the new owner he will get the car in late may or early june
i need to get it done by them cos my red mex will be back from escort-tec
and i need to sort that out aswell......
I've learn't the hard way too often, it's no good to rely on other people to keep their promises, you've got to be more persistent than you want to be 'cause if you aren't you're stuff just gets left.
If they've had the car a month and not touched it, that's taking the p... IMO.
Thing is I don't mind if a firm's got a lot on and they tell you up front that it'll take X amount of time, then you can decide if you want them to do it, what you get though is either, they say they can do it knowing full well they won't touch it for at least 2-3 weeks, then they get a few rush jobs come in as well.
The other scenario being the firm gets other work / more lucrative stuff come in and your satuff gets put and put back, unless you keep checking up, I don't know it any different, unfortunately
