small update, finally got the arch joined back together and half tubbed, the welding ain't too pretty but was my first time at welding, so thought i'd practice on the inner arches as you won't see any of it especially with a load of seam sealer and and a can of shultz covering it

also started chopping out my fuel filler recess and moving it up to the 'c' pillar, gonna use the original fuel cap and use the original ford metal fuel pipe and have that connected to a custom tank in the boot, i bought a bike/aircraft fuel filler on the bay of e, but think it looks to big and ugly pics below:
next on the list is to sort out some of the rust patches bought some rust treater from bilthamber suppost to be good, then i can put the new sill and rear corner on and that'll be the passenger side all sorted just got to do it all again on the drivers side then :?

small update, took the front wing off and the whole sill this week found a bit more rust and some dodgy repairs so i've had to order new inner sill and inner wing mounting panel, so on hold til those arrive, also got a mk2 escort fuel cap surround and filler pipe from Darran (escort-tec) coming this week so that can be fitted soon as i get it.

got some second hand rear wheels - Revolution minators - 8"x13" got to get a tyre this week to see how it looks, prob gonna fit a 225/45 13
gonna get 7x13 for the front but might try the 8's for fit first

perks of the job, its a brand new unit a year old, its had a car in the same corner for the last year so we don't miss the space its taking.

few more bits n pieces done, i've finally got round to fitting the mk2 xr2 rear panel so the cars finally got its bulge, just needs blending in to the rear corners, thought the panel was gonna be an easy fit but no chance, welded my panel beating hammer to it at one point .
also got the ns pass floor all patched up, reaapir a few patches inside the innner sill, repaired the rather large hole under the dash i had to cut a big piece out in the end, just got to seam sealer it on the outside then i can weld the inner rear wing bit on.
worked on tonight to fit the sill but then realised i was jumping the gun a bit and i needed to fit the repair panel to the front inner wing first so thats all done, had to remove a dodgy repair by teh previous owner, i bought a whole new section to go in but was less hassle to fit just the bit i needed!
just the rear inner wing bit next then the sill can finally be welded on and thats the ns complete
                                pics below, enjoy
