As has been said before, if it gets another log book, much more chance of it being found if it stays in one piece. If it gets broken, no chance.
That said, shoot the thieving b'stards.

SO WHERE HAVE ALL THE STOLEN ONES GONE??????

I had mine stolen in 1987 and I often wonder where it ended up. I've been through it too, looking at all the yellow ones at the shows for any sign of my old car, I still look now in the hope of finding it. The trouble is that if they are standard like most of them were years ago, then they will now be harder to identify.

Was mine given a new identity or was it broken up for spares. Someone somewhere knows about it as they do with all the others that have been stolen. Must have been hundreds of these cars stolen over the years and some of the parts are perhaps unknowingly fitted to some of our cars. I would say a tracker or similar device fitted on all our cars would be a great idea!

If only our cars could talk!!!!!

            Tim.

this car has been stolen on my doorstep, and i have spoken to all the local rs boys, who live local to where its been taken, and no one knows its been stolen, then a post pops up on here from scotland?whats going on. believe me i have my ear to the ground, as a local group were going around stealing cars, so i had my place camera up and we moved all cars to new locations at a cost to us all and time off work, so have we got a bad egg in the area amongst us i ask my self, TRUST

No sooner I knew it had been stolen, it was posted all over facebook & I tagged all the friends who have or are into Escorts in the Cannock, Burntwood, Hendsford, Lichfield & Burntwood areas.

It's not a car I know from that area.

Theiving b4stards need their hands chopping off.

Info came from me originally. Once a week I run a google search for stolen Ford Escorts/Cortinas/Capris/Granadas etc to post on my stolenoldskoolfords Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/...oldskoolfords/) & happened across that one. The news was only posted on local sites to where it was stolen.

Weirdly, I've just tried checking checkitfree & the number plate isn't recognised so I checked DVLAs website & it was last taxed in 1997! Has it been off the road & in a garage ever since?

I remember ders getting his signal amber stolen and a place called barrhead in Glasgow was notorious for mk2s being taken and stripped.he called me and took a jaunt over from the other side of Glasgow.ders had been told who had taken it so I asked him to show me where they stayed and I burst in with an iron bar anyway we got his car back
