Know a few mk2 Mexico left factory with chrome handles etc, anyone know if any mk2 2000 did sneek out with chrome handles mirrors window insert etc

Can't say I've ever seen any RS2000s with chrome myself and that's the kind of geeky thing I'd notice to be honest but maybe there are some out there?

Kind of related: The black gutter trim on mine is a bit rough; I wonder if it's one of those 'rocking horse s***' items or maybe something more generic that I can pick up at a car show/autojumble?

Yes they are rocking horse, but east kent trim do a good copy. You have to make them fit by tweaking around a preformed curve first.
