Dave, as I messaged you, I asked the question why this was offered to RSE when as a registrar we weren't permitted to have our registrars stands to facilitate the very same cars. It seems my question has resulted in this, for which I apologise. Hope you understand.

Well sadly it appears some within The RSOC "committee or moderator" team DO NOT agree with RSE being offered a stand at National Day (please remember the club approached me in the first place to have the stand ??)

I started a thread on RSOC FB page promoting National Day and included a link to this thread offering ALL MKI and MKII Escort owners the opportunity to display their car on the RSE stand.

Well guess what ? - It got deleted !!

I can only thank Mickey Stewart for trying to build bridges via this forum to encourage you all to get your cars out from under their dust covers and on display at National Day but maybe some within The RSOC hadnt read the memo allowing us to have a stand.

    Ah well maybe next year

In all the years RSE has been around I have never once contemplated an RSE Stand at ND and have always prefered that you all supported your local group, get on track, concours or go on your respective Registrars Stand.

This offer now gives the option for ANY MKI or MKII Escort to be part of a stand at ND and not have to park in public car park or attend ND in their daily smoker.

Next year should we get a similar offer then with a bit more notice many may wish to attend
Must be short of Stands !

A RSE stand at ND sounds a good idea especially now the registers parking as gone now that only leaves RS general parking for me as I'm not in a local group so for the first time in over 15 years I will not be at ND, going to a classic car show elsewhere.
Hope the RSE stand can be sorted for next year (with a little more notice) and I will be on it.

The rs owners club hasn't even recognised nor acknowledged this site, seriesoneturbo.co.uk or escortcosworth.com all year to the point where if you post anything regarding those sites on the Rsoc site your post gets removed or you get banned, yet two weeks before national day there's an invite with discounts to attend

Some of the committee should have listened to their members instead of ignorning their opinions...
    Thats my thoughts too.

The rsoc dont like these 'other' sites as they are taking members away from the rsoc however its not the sites driving people away its the rsoc club.

    I am good Mickey, thankyou.

They pay you £100 to show your bike ,,,WOW thats a good deal,,,, Lot of shows I go to its normally free entry if you are willing to show your car .I consider this to be a good incentive as the gate price to attend a lot of shows has gone OTT,,Now days its a profit making business and not a show for the fans

This is how the Kawasaki triples club attract their members to show bikes.

Am i correct in thinking that you don't need to be a member of the RSOC now to display your car at the RSOC show?

    Hi Dave

Hope you are well, I am not aware of the club not allowing this? Something I am more than happy to put to the club for next year, as Dave mentions below it is short notice so ideally it will be better next year which some more planning involved.

It was my idea to try and get more visiting car clubs to ND and I more than happy to try this out so I or we will be looking at planning things in advanced for next year.

    Thanks
