I missed out on a yellow with orange stripes mk1 rs2000 that had been an rsoc concourse show winner once. Me and my dad only found it as my dad went to look at buying a mk2 granada from the guy and the mk1 was over the other side of the yard needing work done on it but didn't look too bad.
I was all over it and the guy said it was for sale and it must have been cheap enough as my dad thought about buying it for me ( I was only about 15 at the time )........it never happened though

Mk1 RS1600 at AVO national day for £7k.
Frosty, was the RS1800 near Peterborough? Remember seeing one and they had just sold the engine and the rolling shell was left.

Rs1800 from Aberdeen that I went to view that had been re shelled with a red mexico for sale £4,000
I remember that RS18 getting re-shelled but it was only a 1100 or 1300 shell, it was very well done but I would not have wanted to spend good money on it, but it will be sitting in someone's garage now as their pride and joy

I should have bought a genuine Mk1 RS1600 in the mid 80's which only had a Mexico engine and the owner didn't know what he had, I called back the next day to give him the asking price but he had sold it, it was extremely cheap. A big regret
