A guy from work chatting to me today, asks the question "is the MK1 Mexico an RS" yes I reply. Oh right, cos you've got one I thought I would ask, "how much they worth then" because my uncle had one, parked it his garage and hasn't touched it for years. Oh right I reply, well they can fetch a lot of money, what's it like ? Well I remember seeing it years ago and it was immaculate, he really looked after it. So what happened to it I ask. Oh a neighbour saw it one day recently when he had the garage door ajar and asked if he would sell it.
His uncle said yes for £1,000. The neighbour offered him £200, and the car was sold.
I felt sick after he told me.
All I know is it's a white Mexico with blue stripe. Comes from my home town.
I will find out the registration if I can to verify it's a genuine car.
