So, it was stolen and recovered.......was it smashed up and rebuilt?.....or was it stolen and found a day later around the corner with just ignition damage? If the latter, then get it bought....bear in mind how many were stolen in that era...two a penny.

    Nice find

Agree with Aled. MK2's were stole nearly every day in the 80's and 90's and usually were taken for a joy ride or stripped and never recovered. I presume this one is the former so I'd say get her bought if the price is right and the car is as good as it sounds

Don't worry about it, My Sapph was stolen in 1990 and still looks like it was today Personally wouldn't bother me if it's a nice straight car.

Thanks guy's for the info, Ive been told it was taken off the guy's driveway and found the nxt day with spotlights misssing/wheels missing as far as ive been told...

It had a blow over a couple of years ago to freshen her up....

I think your all right as these sort of car were always going missing and i think its just part of the history to an old car....

As they are rare and don't come up often I'd say anything from £5k - £10k depending on history, condition etc.

Appreciate its a wide rprice ange, but the condition of the car and the history that it comes with makes all the difference.
                        Cheers

He told me he'd had an offer of £8.5k for it, so i guess if you are willing to match that its yours fella.

Certainly looks a nice original example. And when you see dilapidated 16 sports fetching nigh on £4k, it might be decent value.
