If I did not see this today myself I would have said it was some sort of April Fool's joke.
On the way to work this morning, their was a police car blocking one lane of the road that leads to the Oil Refinery where I work. After I had gone past it their was more loads more police and some Transit minibuses and a 71/2 ton flatbed lorry parked up. I found out later it was some lefty 'Fossil fuel protesters' that wanted to demonstrate at the refinery gates by blocking the road with scaffold and chaining themselves to the gates etc.
Okay everyone is entitled to their views but some of those people had come from Manchester to Essex. And there mode of transport... smokey old Transit's and LVD Minibuses
(that must use some super green fuel that they alone know about).
