Gloucestershire rally enthusiasts are being asked to support the Forest of Dean Motor Club's charity motorsport evening in aid of David Williamson.Williamson, who was killed on the Wyedean Forest Rally in February of this year, left a wife Sian, and young daughter Ella.
All proceeds from the evening on Thursday, June 7, will be going to his memorial fund.
Organiser Adrian Williams said: "During the evening we will be holding an auction and we are asking for suitable items to be donated. You can also bring any items for donation on the evening.
"If anyone can donate something special like team/driver clothing autographed old gloves, boots or even race suits, tours of your premises, ride at a test day or any items connected with motorsport we would be very grateful.
"We want to make this evening a tremendous success and raise as much money for this very worthwhile cause."
The event takes place at Cinderford Rugby Club, The Recreation Ground, Dockham Road, Cinderford GL14 2AQ at 7.30pm doors open at
7.00pm.
Admission is £5 on the door, all in aid of David Williamson's Memorial Fund.
Williamson died while competing in the sport he loved and the idea of the charity night was the brainchild of regular competitors Paul Willetts and Adrian Williams.
The evening will include a Rally forum Q &A session with some big names in attendance.
The panel of guests include Andy Burton, Phil Collins, Phil Pugh, Guy Wilkes, Nicky Grist, Mark Higgins, Nik Elsmore, Damian Cole, Ian Alsop and Suzuki girls Lorna Smith and Joanne Oakey.
Willetts said: "Neither of us knew David, but that doesn't matter to us, he was a fellow competitor so we have decided to do something to help his family with their loss.
"Getting the panel together was easy as they all agreed straight away, once they knew the reasons behind it.
"The auction items are still coming in and we have had some great donations from Honda F1, Prodrive, Suzuki, The Halfords BTCC team, Mitsubishi UK and many others."
