Jonnie your comments are the most important as why you are a EX-RSOC Member, make you comments here and I'll pass them on to the tread.

that goes for anyone who wants to make a comment.

    here is the post.

    Afternoon folkes,

I'm doing a bit of a write up for Rallye News on the club membership and the perceptions of the members towards the club.

For this I would appreciate it if you could take a few moments of your time to think on the following topics and let me have your thoughts please either in an email or on this thread please.

a, Value for money. What are your thoughts on the current subscription in terms of value for money, is it good, bad, indifferent and your reasons why

b, What do you as an individual get out of being a member of the RSOC.

c, What benefits would you like to see included in to your annual membership and if these are a cost benefit would you be happy for the subscription level to increase.

d, The club has been around since 1980 but obviously there were RS vehicles before then, what are your thoughts on the club and old Skool RS's

e, Finally - With nothing definate from Ford on a future RS vehicle and dwindling numbers of RS's each year what are your thoughts on the future of the club, more over how do you see the club in say 5 ,10 or 15 years time.

Thanks for your time on this, the more people who respond the better the article will be for everyone in the club.

Mods - can you make this a sticky please. Ta. SCAR !

not renewed member since 91 i think , no value for money , cannot get valuation done on car cos registrar i up his own ass on prices , members views not taken on board , n.d. has become stale (as same place same thing , needs moving around to different 'cheaper' circuits so all members get it near to them one year , and the club would make more money, all i see u get for your money is r.n. and the option to join up with club insurance ?????? which u can get insurance a lot cheaper elsewhere !!!!!!

              is that enough kel ?????

right kel where do i start......first and foremost the registrar is not doing his job properly he has much, much more than len pierce to work with and how many articles has he made since he got the job,no remanufacture of parts for mk1 and mk2 these are the cars who started the club up way back in 1981 the club i feel lost the old skool years ago when they filled the rallye news with adverts for companys to do with turbo cars.the concourse thing is totally over the top get back to basics and turn up and enter if you want to lets have some show and shine .the so called thirty year stand was im told by some very good sources was a joke stuck up in the mud out of the way instead of being the main attraction(correct me if im wrong as i had to cancel going the night before and didnt actually see it for myself)lets get some fun back in to national day how about a different venue and have the good old tug of war back ,inter club auto testing, hows about the club organising a road rally weekend for navigation challenge followed by a massive booze up.i dont really know all the answers mate

Gotta say there is no value for money. RN is a good read but that's it. The insurance scheme worked out too dear for me. What annoyed me was the 30 year display at donno was crap. I own an rs2 and nobody invited me to display my car. If they wanted 100 examples surely all members should have been invited to display. National day this year was very poor in my opinion, i left before 1pm and doubt whether i'll go next year. Am still a member but not sure whether i'll renew this year.

cheers Ricky yeh mate the lakes tour will be on for 2007 and I do hope nobody copies the lakes tour as that would spoil it for so many it's a old skool thing and I don't think it would work for out else. But as for the rest of the shows ,ND ect things are going to have to change the RSOC has got as big as it is going too, and the sooner we all get used to that the better. This is just my view but a cannot see N/D at donnington next year as it all looks big money now and the club is too small there was not the paying public at donny this year it must have been down on numbers ? peeps go on about track action was the track full at N/D no !!!
Therese only one thing that’s going to keep the RSOC going and that’s the one thing that started it all those years ago MK1 /MK2 RS escorts so if they aren’t going to do out about it it's time some of us did on this BB .
The old skool is booming!! The interest never dies so it's time for a take over of all things old skool the peeps running the mk1/mk2 part RSOC need to get there heads out of the sand and be more active or move over and let some new blood in it cannot go on as it is.
