spoke to him sat,said it was a reshell,he said he had told me, but he didnt.
i would not have been intrested not at that price anyway doesnt want to give my deposit back guess i will have to go the legal route i will update when i know more thanks everyone for your intrest

Tell him that if he doesnt give the deposit back you will be asking the police to investigate the car. Transfering a Mexico id on a non Mexico shell is ringing and carries a prison sentance (this is clearly what is done as its got a mexico id on hpi), best case he could hope for is car crushed and a major fine hardly worth not giving you the deposit back.

I should add unless he has reshelled into a brand new shell, which is the only legal way to keep the id.

hi guys i live just along the road from this garage & was seriously thinking of putting a deposit down on an rs2000 but not now the yellow mex thats getting all the attention was up 4 £7995 he is currently working on an rs but it doesnt look all that great spoke to him a few times & yes his name is ian seemed ok to me out of order if hes riping people of this way .

Chaps, as is said ealier in this post, i did some dealings with this guy and found him ok, however, it was very clear, the car i went to view was most definately "subject to view", I sat down chatted to him for a while and he gave me my money back, seamed a ok guy, quite knowlegable etc etc, sounds like he,s trying it on, maybe he needs a visit from some of the boys

Although undoubtedly a very serious matter, I've just read this thread and Mr Tampon's 'call to arms'. Hardly Churchillian but I did find it quite amusing that he can call upon Ders, Martin et al and ask them "what we going to do about it."
In instances like these it's all too often the parents that are to blame or the ever increasing 'E' numbers in children's foodstuffs, take heed Mr Tampon this may all come back to haunt you when you get up to secondary school and start mixing it with the big boys.
Surely before any witch hunt and public hangings there should be an opportunity for Ian Forgan at Mercury Motorsport to answer or respond to any claims that have been made against him. If as suspected he has been made aware of the accusations levelled at him/his business via this forum then it may be that he has sought or is seeking legal advice. Would it not make sense to make an informed judgement or decision after he has responded rather than shoot to kill as Judge and Jury Tampon and others in the Kangaroo court public gallery would have us do.
I should point out that although I know of Ian, I have never done business with him but have always found him to be pleasant, informative and eager to help where possible. It may well be the case that in this instance there has been a wrong doing but before the condemned man makes that long walk to the chair he should at least be given the opportunity to repent his sins ........... if that is he's a sinner.

Just food for thought but as the title states "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

its a shame that he didnt keep quiet about it ....?....but its out now"
