Jon Segger's 1976 Escort MK2 Rally car & 1980 MK2 RS2000
I have a mk2 Escort which I use for stage rallying. For the last few years it has had a Dunnell 2.0 litre Zetec engine. The car is currently off the road undergoing a rebuild following my last rally in Blackpool where the axle disintegrated.

I will now be fitting a 6-linked Atlas axle and a 2.0 litre Duratec engine from Dunnell.

Rally car full spec will be as follows:

Bodyshell
-- 1976 2 door shell
-- Seam welded and forest arched
-- Polycarbonate windows
-- Heated windscreen
-- Fibreglass bonnet & boot lid

Engine & transmission
-- Dunnell Engines 2.0 litre Duratec ~275 BHP
-- Quaife 5 speed sequential gearbox
-- Fostek Atlas axle with 5.1 CWP

Suspension and brakes
-- 4-link bars
-- Watts linkage
-- Compression struts
-- Bilstein front and rear shock absorbers with coil-over springs
-- Sierra Cosworth rear calipers
-- Wilwood front 4 pot calipers
-- Electric power assisted steering

(I also have a 1980 signal orange mk2 RS2000 which I've had since 1990. Its been off the road for a number of years, but my long-term goal is to fit a cossie engine and gearbox.)
