Its funny you should say that. The guy who had the transporter, who i don't know from Adam, took one look at the car and said "i have seen that car before".Turns out a friend of his had seen it when it went for MOT and sent him a mobile phone pic...its a small world!!!....I think i am gonna put a tracker on this!!!!!

I wonder how many Mexico owners are now checking the measurements of their stripes against your measurements .

                          Hello Aaron.
The grill on mine has the silver section sprayed. As mentioned in another thread it looks to be strato silver.
If you intend to repaint the whole grill, the easiest way as i see it would be to spray the silver sections as required and then mask these out using 3m fine line masking tape before painting the rest of the grill black.

I have done a little more work this afternoon on the engine.I have stripped and cleaned it and given it a provisional looking over. The bores look good as does the crank.I will measure things up but it looks like new mains, big ends and set of rings will suffice.

Oh and i have given the gearbox a looking at also. The gearbox was quiet and changed perfectly. I have given it a thorough clean and lifted the lid to have a look inside. As i suspected everything was fine.I fitted new seals as a matter of course.
