  • The 2015 Almanac

Used to laugh my pants of when GJ published the almanacs.
With GJ retired and with all the seriousness around atm I thought I would give it go.
Have no copyright on the pics nor can I claim credit for the photoshops.

    Grtz, Leon.

    Jan:

At the NEC show, Burton power introduce some new products for 2015.

Also after years of development the 'bullshit-deflector' is ready for production.

Grum makes a 2015 Escort calendar with '12 excellent photos of excellent cars'.
He asks Ari to promote the calendar.

Chris E. buys a new gizmo.

    Feb:

Debs & Taffr buy GJ's Black Beauty.

They return the car the next day as it has 'hidden faults'.

Grum asks GJ if he can have a pic of the car for next years calendar.

A day before the RSOC AGM an IT glitch on the RSOC BB reveals that there is a Porsche registrar in the Club.
Further investigation leads to info that there is a 'clique' within the club who use clubfunds to pay for their trips to France and Germany!

At the AGM the remaining of the RSOC committee resign (yes both of them).

    Gerard has a party.

    Mar:

In Australia young Max Verstappen is first on track for the qualifying of the Australian F1 GP.
He sets a good time, then it rains and he is on pole for the race on sunday.

Spence is asked for the lead-role for a new film called 'Men in Pink'.
This film is about the Alien Investigation and Defense Service (A.I.D.S.).

Speaking of aliens, Kev Frosticles posts another photo of the moon.

We ask him if he is homesick but he insists he is not an alien from the moon.

Aled converts to boedhism so he can have 2 wives.

    Apr:

Angharad John is getting married but for some reason the wedding cars do not show up.
Spence comes to the rescue and brings his daily runner.

The spring edition of Practically Clapped Out is on sale.

In one of the articles Ruddy tells all there is to know about grinding, but his mates think he has lot the plot as he cuts up a NOS Mk2 door.

Ari tells Fabrizia what he really thinks of the 2015 calendar.

For his new job Kev Frosticles has to do an IQ test. The results are negative ...
The psychologist finds out he is dyslexic (spelling?).

    May:

    The Lakes Tour.
Oggie snr hires the Stig but somehow he thinks that it isn't the genuine Stig from TopGear.

Ricky brings a bottle of the 'Death Sauce'.

Three LakesTour newbies have the stuff on their burgers and soon the effects of it show.

At the lottery Roy the Boy sweeps up all the prices, as he did the last 3 years.
Nothing dodgy going on here, honest.

DuratecJohn releases his new book on GP4 Escorts.

    Jun:

GazW posts his pics of the Cumbria RS show.

The summer edition of Practically Clapped Out is on sale.

Martin explains how 'smoov' their trip in Porkers to Germany went and how it was all financed by the RSOC.

Because of the draught and subsequent shortage of water volunteers with big bladders are asked to sign on with the firedepartment.
(that would probably mean most of us ...)

      Jul:

      RSOC National Day.
      Miniliteman is welcomed by GJ.

Dave Robbo enters modified Mk2 class and wins.

Kev Curtis enters modified Mk1 class and wins.

After an anonymous tip (AlanCDavies) Kev is arrested because his V5 is not correct (3 wheels instead of 4).

When taken away the KevC fanclub show what they think about the police.

It's hard work being the President!

      Aug:

The August edition of Practically Clapped Out is on sale.

As a result prices of NOS parts in blue boxes go through the roof.
Mr. Patel sells his GP1 engine parts set and from the earnings he buys a property called Cornwall.

Errol sells 2 dozen of genuine Ford batteries and also buys a property (Devon).
The owner of ebay buys Spain.

After every Ford RS show people find strange markings on the road. Police are on it.

      Calendar pic August.

      Sep:

Kev Frosticles finally admits he is from the moon and wants everyone to know.
Unfortunately because of his dyslexia ...

Being driven to madness by his 2 blondes Aled changes from Boedhism to Alcoholism.

      GJ fancies a threesome.

At last a new law for cars / occupants that we are happy with.

      Calendar pic September.

        Oct:

Having bought DuratecJohn's book AlanCDavies finally builds a proper historic spec arched car with all the right bits in all the right places.

After months of DNA-research GJ finally finds his roots.

'separated at birth' comes to mind ...

A group buy is initiated; 50 of these will be delivered in 8 weeks time.

The police asks the RSE club if anyone know this car.

        Nov:

At the re-instated Spares Day Spence finds something to his liking.

Mrs. John meets someone famous in a bar.

        AndyC gets a new tattoo.

        Calendar pic November.

        Dec:

CossieSi gets the lead part in 'Popeye the musical'.

Grum takes up an old hobby.

The RSOC is voted best car club of the year.
Their customer/member satisfaction is very high; not one member complains twice.

Plus the overhead-costs of running the club are almost zero.
