    No Trouble
Here's my 1980 black base RS2000 that I got from Andyc last year.

I had wanted to get a Mk2 RS or Mex to restore for a few years, I'd seen this when Andy had advertised it before, and liked the look of it. Having talked to a few of the North Wales Mafia about it back then, when it came back up for sale, they were messaging me telling me to get it bought, luckily one of them wanted to buy my 4 door that I had finished restoring earlier in the year.

Here are some of the pics from the ad.

I've had it a few months, and I left it in one piece for most of that time, but I've made a start now
The plan is to bring it back to the road looking original inside and out with a few period mods.

De-rusting the front wings, which had been replaced, but were ill fitting, they look like Ford items though.

    Then removing them without damage.

    Revealing lots of work

    and a patchy inner wing

Whilst doing some initial door alignment fidling, I got carried away with removing the interior, until there was none left
Nice floor pans from the inside though.

There's the story so far, I'll update it when ever I get bits done, but there might be some long gaps

                Thanks for the positive comments
The floors look really good from the inside, just hope they stay that way when I de-rust the underneath
The plans are to get it back on the road looking as it should.

With a few mods to start with, billies all round and vented discs, then see how it goes. This will be a few years away yet

Yeah many got an upgrade during the 80's when many Custom models were starting to reach the scrapyards!
