  • machined an original Cosworth dry sump cam cover to take a filler neck so checked valve clearances and fitted that

not sure exactly what rad I'm fitting yet so havent machined up the stat housing yet for switch

money shot with my refurbished 40's mocked up (worked out I done these about 15 years ago lol)

removed engine from stand went looking in the garage and dusted off previously painted X member, engine mounts and fully rebuit gearbox

all fitted up with new clutch release cylinder and bearing, refurbished fork assy and replated spacer plates, this was the first time they have been reunited since the car was stripped when I bought it

this brings us up to yesterday so next job, chuck it back in the car

Where has the Burton oil-filler-cap gone?
Maybe replace the thermostat housing with an original item?

The filler cap is the one of my Mk2 Leon, I'm desperate for one though if you know of any ? Even spoke to Andy about it a couple of weeks ago but there out of stock, gutted would finish the build off perfect

Need a non vented one if anyone's hoarding a 50th anniversary Burton cap ?

The t stat housing I may fit std yet or machine for switch depends what rad I buy

Cheers for the interest everyone else

                        Gary await the call
                        Cheers Glyn
