          Update on welding progress

          Hi All
After 4 days of heavy cutting, sanding and welding I've got the engine bay something like resembles an Escort.

Hope I've remembered Brians idiot guide to posting pics correctly

I would dearly love to come and do some metal grinding but unfortunately I will be busy preparing for the weekends festivities. If you leave an escort un-primed for even 1 day the thing starts to rot......

                    Brian
Mine is just for practical and strength purposes ,its never going to anything more than a GRP1 (generally) spec Pinto Rally Car.I am not bothered about the asthetics so much as long as it is strong and not going to fall apart when it hits the first yump or rut.
Having seen some pictures of your previous resto I'm sure you have the skill and pacience (my spelling is sh1t )to make yours a minter.
About time you got some more pics up of your progress isn't it ?
By the time I've applied a full tin of brushable seam sealer to mine it will look as good as Frosticles (but I've got a Quaife SC Box in mine )
                    Keep you all posted.

                      Hi Guys
It's been a while since last update but I've been busy in the cold garage over the last 2 months.
Just got engine bay sprayed up so it looks as if I've achieved somethING !.
First pic is a before shot to remind you what aknacker I'm dealing with LOL.

Starts to make it worthwhile, the breathing in of rust ,smoke, burnt arms and legs, blocked nose and lungs from spray dust (should buy a proper mask )etc. etc. you who have done it or are doing it "Brian" know what I mean.

Some refurbed suspension shots ,surprising what you can achieve with some wire brushes ,"Tahiti Blue" and some WD40

I hope this firkin works as its a long time since I did it ,will have to call the Green Meanie owner again if it doesn't.

                      RAC 2007 is looking possible
