Does anyone know how many RS1700T cars were built and registered with/at the DVLA?

Also how many are there left today?
I Was told 5 including Malcolm Wilson’s car.

I believe 18 cars were built in one form or another, some crash tested, some crashed rallying, some taken apart, no two cars seem to be the same.

I think there are about 5 left most are rally cars, this is an estimate though

I'm sure someone may correct me, I'm interested but no bookworm on the job, there is a guy called mike ****** who may know exactly?

there is debate whether 18 or 19 cars were built, and how many disappeared off to south africa.

Mick Jones is a guest at the RSOC national day in a couple of weeks and will be happy to talk all things RS, especially RS1700T of which he was heavilly involved both here and in SA

i have photographs here of 8 different cars, as Wayne said, no two cars were the same (some were 4WD, others RWD, some turbo, some N/A etc)

i will also ask John Wheeler if he can confirm the exact amount built
