Thanks for the comments Carlo / Andy

Ashford Chroming did the headlights, if you aren't in a hurry great as they were away for nearly 2 months so they must be kept busy

Car out for the first time this year, shame, still not under under her own steam

Time to trial fit the engine into the bay so I can get the wiring loom finished and fuel lines cut to size so here goes

          First, manifold fitted

Now to get it into the bay

          Right at home

Happy now as I having looking at for months. Next bit was to get some of the engine parts and washer bottle of for dipping

Well that's it for a while so back into the corner of the garage till next time

                  Not a lot has happened in the last year or so due to work commitments so little update from where we left off;

Wasn’t happy with the rechromed inner headlights and luckily a set of New Old stock were sourced in Sunderland, what a gent and great price so not everybody is out to make as much money as possible and keep escort parts at escort prices rather than some of the inflated prices we see nowadays but that’s what you have to pay if you want it

Headlight backing plates removed once again

Headlights now in place on the backing plates

                  Finally happy with the lights

Now to fit the fuel pump / filter assembly with the boot floor marked ready for drilling

                  Pump now installed

Time to start making up some hoses

                  Tank and pump now connected

Now fuel regulator to the rail

Return was not so simple at first as the straight fitting on the rail was too close to the bulkhead

Quick change of fitting, that’s better

Return will have to wait till next week, honest will update again next weekend

Need to have another look at it when I am back, that’s her jacked up on the axle so leaf spring will lift a little bit more but not expecting that much more but more as she is close enough to the bump stop as she is

You needn’t fit a return to the rear of the fuel rail, you could of fitted a single feed with a “T” piece on the supply and blanked the rear rail.

It was set up without a return on the focus but it was chucking flames out the exhaust so hopefully this will cure it

                              Interior now being reinstated
