haven't really got much to do on it now, so decided to see why the passenger side rear light was dimmer than the other.

took the lens off to see it was a bit cracked on the housing. near the reverse light

so had a quick look in my spares department and found 2 rear lights,

                  so took both light out

i had 2 butlers units in the car, but only had altisimo ones as speares so changed both to the leter units.

found out why one was much darker than the other though the inner reflector had lost its shine so polished them up.

then i primered the inside of the light

and then painted with chrome spray paint

good news for me my light rubbers are in near mint condition,

re fitetd it all they are both the same bightness and brighter overall,

I have just been out tonight and my dad followed me and he said they are really bright now.

                  Paul.

started to make a mint set of spot lights, i've got 6 of them and 3 have decent lenses, 1 even turned out to be brand new but its keeps getting condensation inside it

                    heres 1 pic

and cleaned up some 40's a bit, need a better clean another time, but got most of the oil and dirt off

and had a little car meet today

                    Paul.

                            thanks everyone,

i got my spot lights to work too now.

but the fuse in the cars fuse box for main beam keeps glowing red and eventually blows.

i have been round all the of the conectors and made the earth etc perfect on the car so not sure why it keeps blowing,

might possibly have a dodgy relay or something

                            Paul.

Nice to get the spots working, as some cars they are not!

Looks as if you have too much of a load on that fuse line. Have you wired in the relay correctly......ideally you need to get it wired as a Sport.
