                • Wurth not that cheap at £10 a tube need about 14 tubes by the time you cover backs of the wings etc but makes a very nice finish and has good protection and sound deadening qualities

Thanks for that. I was spoilt with Wurth products when my son worked for them, but the products would be hard to beat in quality.

                    • Well its been a long time coming but I have started to make progress again all be it quite small. Numerous body specialists didn't seem to want to entertain the car so decided just to do it myself panel at a time even if it does take me ages so started on the rear panel as there are a lot of shapes in it that needed sorting out. Few hours of filler work Sunday and primered and guide coated tonight. Probably do Inside the boot area next then work my way forward. Planning to get the car in primer then leave it to sink and settle for a couple of months before block sanding.

Hopefully plenty more progress over the next few weeks

                          • You know you can do it mate, be great to see it done.

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

                            • Well a little more steady progress, front panel now all in primer, it annoys me how ripely the new panels are, although this was a really quite a good fit it was for from straight so it ended up have a full skim of fine filler to get the part below the grill nice and straight. Anyway quicj quirt of guide coat and its another panel ticked off the list.

Then back onto the bootlid. It was absolutely 100% rust free but wasnt flat so there was only one thing for it...a big fine skim of filler. I bought one of those flexible long blocks which has worked brilliantly. Just need to coat it with dolphin glaze then it will be ready for primer.

I've been using upol fantastic filler and I must say that's its realy nice to work with in comparison to the easy1 shite the sell. Blocks lovely with 80 grit then guide coat and remove 80 marks with 180 before primer.
Will probably jump onto the roof next then bonnet which thankfully doesn't need any filler!

Time to start mixing filler again now : (
