  • his best chance ever

Kris Meeke suffers huge disappointment by crashing out while leading the Rally of Germany on the final day.

always liked him and wanted him to do well, but something just aint clicking ....

We can all be the fastest man in the biggest ditch, when I was doing International Rallies and the odd World Championship round there was no "Super Rally" - To finish first, first you had to finish.

He was in good company this weekend though as all the top contenders binned it whilst leading ,he was slightly unlucky on this occasion and think he has more pace to come ,it is after all at the sharp end not lower end of the top 10 we are talking about ,look at Colin in the early years he obviously taught Kris well

There must be a big variation in grip levels on those roads, a lot of the 'offs' were like hitting black ice. Strange for Ogier to bin it 2 years running.

i've always thought Ogier is a very lucky driver ........ he's always lucky with his offs and minor moments ...... monte this year he had about 4 very near misses but gets away with it where others don't ....

as for Kris, just hope he gets another chance next year and uses this as his big learning curve ................. see if Citroen think the same

Is it time to bring some steel back into these cars? , todays WRC cars appear to loose complete corners once they hit something.
Judging by the body damage & the incar Kris didnt hit the wall that hard. Are the alloy suspension components just snapping once they get a good thump? Monte carlo is the same, robin reliants everywhere.

I've thought this for years ...... The amount of silly offs resulting in a retirement is just ridiculous nowadays ...... Gone are the days when mr McRae could roll a car numerous times and still finish on the podium ....
