Born and grew up on a farm where it was the 'law' to wear a flat cap.
Worn one since i was about 10 years old.
The nickname actually came about 20 years ago when i left the farming industry and ventured into town to work for a haulage and storage company where one day it was decided we all had to have a nickname. My boss at the time suggested i be nicknamed 'Container Unit Nominated Transporter'...we still laugh about that
Now know by most of the people in the industry in our town and they all know me as flat cap.....most don't even know my real name!
Please please please can I be in the 'Clique'

Nice story Adrian, not often you win one !!

My names Morgan, nickname all through school was Mogs and when I got my first scalextric set I had the Black Escort Mexico, I smashed it to bits as you did and repainted it with Mog's Mex on the side

fast foward oodles of years later when i got my first computer and found car forums I couldnt think of a name till I looked up at my old scalextric car sitting on the shelf from all them years ago, so it seemed apt
        Cheers Glyn

It's sometimes amazing where nicknames come from, I got the nickname Granville can't think why.

Nicknamed moose during my RAF days as apparently every weekend after a few sherberts I always ended up with the ugly one.
