  • Malky's MK1

After reading about other peoples restorations i thought it was about time i posted mine. I bought this shell about a year ago and have been slowly cutting out all the rust which there is a lot!!!!!!!

Decided to just replace both inner wings as i would never have been happy with these 2.

Chassis legs needed a fair bit of repair.

Heater bubble was rotten underneath so removed that for repairs.

Could have gotten away with not doing this because it'll never be seen but every time i looked at it it annoyed me.

Nice little project and a great job you are doing! I would not have been happy with those holes in the back shelf either!

Will put pictures up later, I don't think pink with flowers was a 70's Ford colour 🤔 I've got plenty of time to talk her into yellow without the flowers.

Very nice work. I need to do the floor on a mk1 once I've finished my current project. Keep the pics coming as they will be excellent for reference for me once I start.

I think it's great with what you are doing, bringing a very sad little car back to life!

I get more of a kick out of repairing something like this than just buying one from someone else that's already been done. It's no an RS shell so it's a blank canvas for me to build exactly what I want my mk1 to be.
