That project must stand the TV production company in 25k plus ?

Has it been sold ? after the 8 week resto job in essex somewhere ?

After a tip off to a meet on an industrial estate ??? Thought that was arranged meet at Greyhound pub in Crawley with oldskool ford club ?

An OK show overall, far better than bernie and leepoo ploding up old sheeeters.

After this & that Fast & The Furious crap, the MK1's image has taken a beating. RIP the MK1 Escort.

Hi, I thought it was great for a Sunday especially being a bank hol too. I used to be fairly well into my escorts when I was younger, still have an eye for detail and spotted that the wheels weren't the correct period items? Also think it would've looked better without the stripes on too.

I know that different parts of the country can tend to follow a certain trend when it comes to the 'Look' of a car, giving this look a name and then it sticks and becomes accepted within the scene, I personally didn't like the look of the Harris cars: I much prefer a good original example, standard paint job, rims, ride height, no additional graphics and such like, fair enough though, the 'South London look' obviously appeals to a section of the escort world, gives them an identity too. A well engineered standard car for me is the way to go though!

I love mk1 escorts, my grandad had a green one when I was very young. When he retired I went with him to the local vw dealers where he had traded it in for a new vw polo. I was 4 and cried loudly and refused to get out of the escort!

Due to not being able to afford an old escort (mk1 or mk2 would be for me) I own classic vw golfs (go easy on me!) I grew up in an area which was full of these old cars in my childhood and I would love to own one one day maybe.
One of the lads from round our way whom I looked up to as a lad is on here actually, with a rather enviable collection!

                Thanks, bobby16v

I think DJ Chris Evans bought it for 20 grand . All his cars get sprayed white so if he did buy it then it will be white with red stripes soon .

I enjoyed the show, there is always a compromise & a certain amount of bull when creating an entertainment show.
I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a documentary so not a bad effort in my opinion

Looked like middle aged Chavs with the donuts & all that tyre squealing. All they have done in their advancing years is exchanged McDonalds for The Beefeater
