On the subject of models, walking past a shop in Dorchester this morning I noticed a (Corgi) Cortina Mk1 in a presentation box - Roger Clark's private GT, 2ANR that won the Scottish (twice) and Gulf Rallies. The blurb on the box even mentioned it was the reg no carried on his first rally car (Mini Cooper) and that his Cortina was re-shelled into a new red works-built shell for 1965. That last bit is information you will not find anywhere on the net or in Robson's books. Amazing anyone thought there was the interest out there to make such a model.

Dave , probable reason for no Rothmans car yet is Rothmans have a problem with there name being used ,hence the trofeu 1/43 cars have the decals on a seperate sheet.
There was a superb set of 3 racing porsches by minichamps ,leman cars, that were made with the Rothmans name on and minichamps were made to cover over rothmans with racing ,a few got through without the extra decals added and these go for top money.
Not sure on the reason ,maybe rothmans want paying for the use of there name but too much ,i know from other companys these companys can be very insistant on payment for use of name.

I have it on good authority that a 1/18 Rothmans version will be produced in the future. Certainely hope so, other manufacturers seem to be able to circumnavigate around the advertising ciggies problem
