If it was a proper car they would have sent it to a proper auction, ie, Race Retro next weekend right?

I’m no expert but when checking the Reg it comes up RS1800 and they have pictures of the chassis plate. Like you say what a strange place to put it for sale. I’m sure social media will do its thing. People are more interested in 80’s and 90’s cars now.

The car is part of a massive 117 car collection that's being auctioned by HJ Pugh (hjpugh.com)! It's featured in the 12 February Classic Car Weekly newspaper. Quite a few Fords including some Escorts, Capri's, both RS and standard.

Looking at the photos most of the cars are stored in a field so may only be suitable for spares, or the very brave restorers! In the collection, as well as many Ford's, there's a large selection of Austins, Morris, Triumph, Rovers, Range Rovers, Vauxhall's and a few foreign cars too!

There are some quite rare cars in with a lot of tat! He must have about half of all the UK Allegro's and Chevette saloons LOL! I bet the RS1600 makes strong money!
