  • RS type steel wheels

Has anybody else noticed how many african 1600 sport steel wheels are advertised widely on the internet as "RS2000 mexico steel wheels" there are loads of them. If you've not compared the two types of wheels next to each other, the African wheels are by far the inferior wheel, the castings are really rough compared to uk wheels and the pressing around the bit that is painted black is a lot smoother around the African wheel, nowhere near as defined as the uk wheel.
If you're still not sure look inbetween the stud holes and the uk wheel will be stamped up with ford and a part number, african wheels have nothing stamped on them. If a steel rs steel wheel seems cheap it'll be african

Once you clock the difference they are quite easy to spot but like I say they are really poor quality
I'll try and work out how to post pictures and put a couple up but don't hold your breath

          Ebay item number 124712504564
Are a set of African steel wheels i was talking about, look how smooth they are around the holes above the stud holes and the funny recess around the same holes.
Advertised as RS2000 / Mexico steel wheels.
The quality of the casting on African wheels is far inferior to UK wheels.
Apologies if they are your wheels you are selling, you need to change the title. I've lost count of the African wheels I've seen for sale as genuine RS wheels.
Would be good if some tech wizard could post a picture of the African and UK RS type wheels for people to compare ? Any volunteers ?
