Sky, Virgin or other?

I'm with Sky TV at the mo, just had an email saying its going up again.
I have all channels bar the Sky Sports ones, I pay for HD so I get the F1 channel.

I'm going to call them to see what deal they will do, but in the mean time, anybody switch from Sky to Virgin Media or any of the others out there?
If so, your views please.

I'm only after the TV, as happy with my phone and Internet provider.

I had a letter last from them last week stating price was going up.
If you ring them they will probably do a deal.
As a guide i got 25% of my current rate for 9 months.

Rumour has it they've only put the price up to help Rupert pay for the Viagra tablets

If not happy with Sky the ZGemma boxes are very good..........apparently

Best thing about Virgin is the cable internet, unless it's not in your area. Like insurance companies, gas electric companies, mobile phone providers you have to strike a 'deal' with them every year.

But if you can have Virgin cable network then that fast internet is well worth having over the rubbish BT network alone, the same network as Sky would also use...

Another vote for kodi on a fire stick ( i have no idea how or what it does my mate did it ).. binned sky after modem went down and they wanted 80 quid for a new one ... bt broadband and saved 40 quid a month leaves a bit for car parts haha

stay clear of 1gb box or fire sticks not fast enough original remotes are pants too
