  • Show us yer Garages!

After seeing a couple of pics of peoples garages recently, ie Mogsmex, Ruddy & Martin it has inspired me to sort my crap out and repaint the floor and walls. Ive lived there for 2 and a half years and just not got round to freshening it up

Everybody loves a tidy painted out garage so lets see what you boys have got

I had a fair sized prefab garage before I moved, it must of been 25 years old was still in good condition.

For cost and time to erect they can't be beaten. If I was to build a prefab garage I would insulate/board it from the start and use insulated metal roofing rather than the roof they come with. If it has to look nice add some fibre cement cladding on the outside like HardiePlank. This ovb. adds to the cost but still pretty cheap. Some people moan about damp/water getting under the walls, if it has a good DPM, a cement fillet on the inside and a fall or a gully drain on the outside as the water can't sit around and get under it.
