i am going after a good shell for my gp4 car instead of useing the mk2 mexico as it has come to me that the mexico's are getting harder and harder to find so i am going to restore the red/white mexico and when its done i might sell it as i might need the money
after seeing what they sell for on ebay mine will be a very nice car and just as good as RNO 993W is.....
so thats my plan ...
i don't care that i will be using a standard car for my rally project as i will only be using it on the track and having some fun in...its not going to be a show car so it not being a rs don't matter
am i doing the right thing....?????

Too right mate, I went to look at my old Mexico today, and the guy says he was offered £16k for it !! yikes, he said no its not for sale.
It's gonna be a a nice Rally car when its finished.

Chop the mex up i say ...A mexico is a mexico doesnt matter what guise its in , you will always find a buyer for it when you have had enough of it

doin Irish modifying.......LoL :D
lol...yep i sure is...:D
here are some pics....as you can see she is mint BUT there is some damage to deal with and the fact there is some of the trim missing this makes it a good car to take for gp4
notice the shed load of wax everywhere...
the damage is not that bad all it needs is a front panel i get this free with the gp4 conversion if it needs one and it needs a x member and a little pull on the inner wing and another door and shell will be mint.....and a pair of wings but again i get these in the price of the conversion..:D
have a look...cheeRS:D

i forgot to say.....she is 2 owner and 31000 mile from new
the old girl that hit it hit another mk2.....lol.....some 14 years ago
and when it happend she opened the door onto a oncoming car and he hit it in a mk1 escort...pmsl.....so there was 3 escorts in the same crash...
the bloke i got it of asked her to buy it from the insurance co so she did for £150 and then sold it to the man i got it from
he wanted to make a rally car out of it so he got a brand new 14 point SD rollcage for it i got this in the sale aswell as a 5 speed box ready for a set of straight cut gears:D
so there you go full story.... ...i like it
Looks a good buy, you jammy git! LOL.:D

nice 2 mate, saw that on ebay, good luck with the new plan, at the end of the day its only a bit of paper that says RS or popular and once its Gp4 you wont be able to tell the difference, Gp4 std shell and build a nice clean mex:)
watch this space another unfinished project on the way me thinks

thats right mate it don't matter...and all the rs bits will come of a genuine rs shell anyway as there not needed and its extra weight....so of the go
