The cumbria RS show will be on Sunday 9th of may at the Heaves hotel Levens on the A590 nr Kendal this year. I need some ideas from you old skoollers this year , so come on ye'r in puts needed. All the proper cars [ mk1 mk2 rs escorts] that attend the show should we
have a old skool stand , or old skool concours?, or old skool show-n-shine.
Do you whant to put a tradestand on do you know anybody who wants a tradestand , as you may know mk2 bits are getting a bit on the scarce side so lets have a bring and buy sale ???? come on let's have so ideas here SORRY WE CAN ONLY HAVE STATIC DISPLAYS thank you.

Was at this show last year and it was a good one , and would love to be at this years on some stand or another

being my local show i went last year and was really impressed with the number of mk2s, not just in concours but also on the visiting club stands.
lets hope this year is just as good if not better.
i like the idea of having an area set aside for mk2s that just turn up on the day but dont want to "show", makes everybody feel welcome

Do you meet up at services before events and drive up together? A long line of MkII's arriving together at a show must be an awesome sight.

you don't have to be a member to show a mk11 at cumbria aslong as you have £3.00 to get in you can park in the old skool car park m8 :cheers:

tathe old skool will be on the lawn next to the concorse area as long as we get 20 30 mk1/ mk11s so let's have some more intrest please :cheers: steven

[/b]GOOD NEWS :bigsmurf: Classicford will be atending this years cumbria show they will be a show report in the mag and theres a full years subscription up for grabs to the owner of the best old skool car on the day so get the polish out . So all Ihave to do now is make room for all of you ? may have to put the cosses ect in the car park :dropmouth:

I've booked the time off work and the car should be completed.. may be a bit rough around the edges, if we keep unearthing rust at the current rate it may not get in the sprayers on time :o(

Is the hotel expensive to stay in or can anybody reccomend a local-ish decent B+B? Fancy doing the tourist thing on Monday then the scenic route home through Settle etc..

Thats good coz i wouldn't bring it if was in the main park. No offence to anyone but i ain't having it going walk about. Yes i am paranoid its the first car i bought and i've had it since 1989 and i want to keep it that way.
