I have a 4 spoke RS wheel as below, it fits the Merde Blanc but shows about an inch of the 'ribs' so what could the boss be off. I have looked around and can't see any part numbers on the boss.
Any ideas?

What you have there is a MKII Escort Boss and Motorsport 4 spoke Wheel.

It fits the car, but it leaves a gap of about an inch between the cowling and the smooth surround of the wheel. So you can see the 'ribbed' (OOOEEERRR missus!) bit and it looks a bit untidy. Are they meant to be like that?
The other wheel I have on (standard RS2000) leaves a much smaller gap.

Tis a Mk11 jobby. I bought one for my 3 spoke. the gap is to clear the column surround.

Yeah, but even when on it leaves a gap of about an inch.

I'll second that.
I have one for my Mk2, and the rubber sleeve is a little short.
You could take the rubber gaiter off a standard wheel and cut it to fit if that's all you are worried about.
Personally I think the 3/4 spoke leather wheels look the business on a Mk2

Right, that answers that then. looks like I will stick it back on the car, do not know if I want to cut an inch off a normal wheel rubber gaiter?
....sorry RSMeister.
